May 27-28, 2006 - For the Animals Rights to Freedom and Life

On May 27th-28th Vinius and Kaunas saw animal rights activists united in street actions under the banner "For the rights of animals to freedom and life". Many Lithuanians are not yet familiar with the definition of "animal rights” – changing this became the purpose of these actions. Many leaflets were handed out, films were shown, lectures were given and a number of discussions have taken place.
